APTIS Seminars
WHAT IS APTIS?
APTIS is the new English language recognition test, developed by the British Council.
APTIS has been developed by British Council experts in the field of language assessment based on the findings of current applied linguistics.
It is a test for adults (over 16 years old) which can be used to certify the level of English from A2 to C2 in the four language skills (reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing) combined with a grammar and vocabulary test. You receive the results within 48 to 72 hours and the certificate (printed document) is sent by post within 7 to 10 days.
Developed by test experts and based on the latest research in assessment, APTIS is the smartest way to test reading, listening, speaking, writing and listening comprehension in English.
TYPES OF EXAMINATION
APTIS has three different types of exams, although the structure of the exams is similar:
- APTIS General.
- APTIS for Teachers.
- APTIS Advanced.
The APTIS General It assesses the four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, and also incorporates a vocabulary and grammar knowledge test which acts as a leveller.
The APTIS for Teachers is a variant of APTIS General. It has been specifically designed to help teachers and other candidates working in the education sector. It is used by teachers to certify Language Proficiency.
The APTIS Advanced Unlike APTIS General, APTIS Advanced has its optimal discrimination point at English levels C1 and C2. APTIS Advanced provides the accuracy and level of detail needed to discriminate between these levels rigorously and accurately.
All APTIS exams are administered by computer and are always supervised by British Council staff.

APTIS General
This seminar is aimed at those people who intend to take an APTIS General exam.
The seminar will focus on explain what the exam is likeThe course includes the different parts of the exam, with support exercises, guides with tips for improvement and 5 online simulations of a complete exam, including the Speaking part, with the corresponding feedback for both the Writing and Speaking parts.
This seminar is not aimed at teaching EnglishThe exam will be explained based on the level of each student in the course.
This seminar will be held from on-line form.

APTIS Advanced
This seminar is aimed at those people who intend to take an APTIS Advanced exam.
The seminar, as well as the APTIS General seminar, will focus on explain what the exam is likeThe course is divided into different parts, with supporting exercises, tips and tricks for improvement and 5 online simulations of a complete exam, with feedback on the Writing and Speaking parts.
It follows from the above, as in the APTIS General seminar, that is not a seminar aimed at teaching EnglishThe exam will be explained based on the level of each student in the course.
